Office of International Engagement Units
The mission and related goals of the Office of International Engagement contribute toward the internationalization and diversification goals of the University's Educating Illinois plan. OIE's contributions are made through the auspices of the following units: Academic English and Pathway Programs, Asia Initiatives, International Admissions, International House, International Student and Scholar Services, Management Development International, and Study Abroad.

Meet International Engagement Faculty and Staff
Academic English and Pathway Programs
Academic English and Pathway Programs coordinates and facilitates programs that support international students in growing their English language and academic skills while pursuing and making progress towards their academic goals.
Asia Initiatives
Asia Initiatives works to promote and develop new programs and partnerships between Illinois State University and institutions, governments, and private partners throughout Asia.
International Admissions
International Admissions guides prospective and new international students on their journey to becoming part of the ISU community.
International House (I-House)
International House provides a structure for international student community development and intercultural education. Through I-House programs, students can learn about different cultures and issues from all over the world, or share their own cultural background with the University community. International and American students also have the opportunity to share living and learning space in the International House TLLC floors in Manchester Hall.
International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS)
International Student and Scholar Services provides immigration advising services and programming to Illinois State University international students and scholars.
Management Development International (MDI)
Management Development International provides professional development training programs to working professionals from overseas public, nonprofit, and private organizations. MDI offers training programs, both on-campus and abroad, designed to develop the technical and administrative skills of managers in the private and public sectors throughout Asia, Africa, Middle East, Central and Eastern Europe, and other developing regions of the world.
Study Abroad (SA)
Study Abroad coordinates overseas study programs for students. In addition to guiding students through the process of choosing and participating in a study abroad program, this unit also assists faculty interested in establishing study abroad programs.
